I started my career as a machinist’s apprentice at an international manufacturer of portable machining & welding equipment in 2014. After 2 years as an apprentice and 2 years of holding machining positions in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry, I landed a job as a prototype machinist in the aerospace industry at a small, family-owned machine shop in Hillsboro, Oregon. During the 4 years I worked there, I programmed, set up, and ran ProtoTrak, Haas, Fanuc, & Sodick CNC mills, lathes & Wire EDM Machines to complete a wide variety of projects for companies including Collins Aerospace, Boeing, FLIR, Corning Tropel, Oregon Physics, Intel, Simplex Aerospace & Synrad. Some of my responsibilities for said position were one-off prototyping, determining adequate workholding set-ups and proper tooling selection, designing fixturing & tooling, reverse-engineering, repairing worn or broken parts, inspecting & measuring completed parts. I have worked with a wide variety of materials including aluminum, high & low carbon Steels, hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, brass, copper, & plastics including PEEK, Nylon, HDPE, Delrin & IR filters. I also have experience designing & prototyping with SLA Resin 3D Printers, and designing, building, & programming electronic projects with ESP32 & Arduino Microcontrollers. My current job is as a cabinet designer at a high-end custom cabinet shop where I commonly use a Leica BLK360 Laser scanner to measure jobsites for cabinetry installation. I am very tech-savvy and experienced with Solidworks, MasterCAM, Arduino IDE, Lychee Slicer, Mozaik, 2020 Design, Leica Cyclone 360, ReCap, Graphite, & FL Studio. Some of my other interests include designing and playing board games, video games, PC building, designing, building & driving/flying RC vehicles, gardening, carnivorous plant cultivation, mushroom foraging & cultivation, music & music production, high performance audio systems, hiking, biking, camping, and cars (especially cars with Turbos). I am 30 years old, married, & have a daughter and two cats.
